I suppose if you are reading this I must have overcome the odds and got the draft off to the printer just in time. I wonder if anyone else feels that time is accelerating? All these technologies such as email and mobile phones have helped us redefine ‘busy’ but at what cost? After the problems and challenges of 2006 it seems that 2007 has a determination to be out of our way in the shortest possible time, perhaps even before the end of the year! This is of course a nonsense as time is its own calibrator…or is it? Stephen Hawking, we need you, but there is no time for that now. This year’s newsletter is noticeably smaller than the last which was dedicated to the memory of my father. Twelve months on and we are still here, coping with catastrophes of various types and forming grand plans for our future, some of which I will touch on here.
