If we at Mount Mary have done nothing else, we have created a reputation for fine wine, for consistency of product across all varieties, and last but not least for composing an idiosyncratic mildly controversial newsletter. It seems to have become a bit of an institution. One thinks of that old advertising saw, for a product I cannot even remember, which goes, ‘often copied but never equalled’!! We are very grateful and heartened by the many people who phone in to say how much they have enjoyed our wine and how they have grown to look forward to the newsletter. The awareness of this responsibility is quite daunting. It has even been suggested by many people that they should be consolidated into a single volume, but if this enterprise gets any busier it may never be possible, there never seems time these days for anything but work for all of us. This is certainly reassuring if not enervating.
