There are only two wines for release this year. These are the 1985 Chardonnay and the 1984 Cabernets. The Pinot Noir, 1985 vintage, will stay in cask, be bottled later and have longer bottle maturation before release with the 1985 Cabernets. The current release wines are first rate wines, even for tasting now; they are great wines with a well assured future.
As we notch up vintage upon vintage and continually review the older wines, we appreciate more and more the staying power and slow development of Mount Mary wines, whether White or Red. Each year also we hear more and more nice things being said about our wines, both in this country and overseas.
