The vineyard is glowing in the sunlight with vibrant young leaves, it is the birth of yet another vegetative cycle for our vines. I wonder have we yet reached the end of the beginning?
The 1984 Vintage will be our tenth from this site. The four wines we are releasing will add another chapter to the story of this slope which Marli and I selected in the late spring of 1971. The past four years, with the many anxieties which follow from too much heat and too little water have been taxing. The adaptability of this most ancient plant, the Vine, and its ability to produce quality fruit under these circumstances never ceases to amaze me.
