Welcome to our 2023 Newsletter which, as always, has snuck up on me. Time, for me, is accelerating but I have no problem with getting older. Just an annoying sense of urgency and a list of unfinished projects…….But you must love ageing. After all there is no escaping it. For a biologist, time is the thread that draws all creatures along life’s journey of growth, maturity and senescence. A vineyard is no exception in this unavoidable, incessant, forward motion towards an older reality. Vines come and go, trunks get thicker, grapes express themselves in terms of age and season.
